Wine Run

Lone Goat Vineyard

Event Information

Wine Run will give you the opportunity to mix all your pleasures - running/walking, wine, food and live entertainment.

You will have the option of the 5km or 10km run.  There will be a wine tasting approximately every kilometre provided by Lone Goat Vineyard and food around the route. Tasting of the wine during the run is optional, you can have a water or electrolyte drink if you prefer. This is a non-competitive event but if you want to win and race your mate then that’s up to you. Dress up and have some fun. We will have spot prizes and costume prizes throughout the night. We do have a time limit on the run - this is 2 hours 30 minutes - so we’re giving those walkers plenty of time to walk and sample the wines and water throughout the vineyard.

There will be food stalls, a bar, entertainment and buses to get you to and from the Vineyard.

When registering you will register as a Team, with a minimum of 3 people maximum of 6.  One of you will have to be designate as your sober driver, if your sober driver is someone else not doing the run, they will still have to be registered with your team as the sober driver not running. The sober driver will be registered with your team, if your team hasn’t got a registered sober driver you will have to purchase bus tickets to enter Wine Run.

Spectators; if you have people coming to watch you, they also have to register with your team, they will be able to watch and enjoy the hospitality and entertainment at the After Party.  Spectators are different to sober drivers.

No designated sober driver, no bus tickets, no entry.   There is no exception to this. We take our host responsibility seriously.

You can bring your car to the Vineyard and leave it overnight, although we do not recommend this as security will not be looking after your car overnight.  You can catch a bus to Rolleston and we’ll have a bus pick up from Rolleston, bringing you to Lone Goat Vineyard. You will need to purchase the additional ticket for the Rolleston pick up when entering.

The buses will leave Lone Goat Vineyard at 9:15pm to:

Rolleston - Bus stop along Kidman Street
Lincoln - Outside St Patricks Catholic Church
Halswell - Halswell Community Centre, Junction Road & Halswell Road
Hornby - outside Robert Harris
Riccarton - Outisde front of Mall - 129 Riccarton Road

We will be endeavouring to cater for all dietary requirements.  If you have a real health specific dietary requirement, we request that you contact us about this and you may be allowed to bring this in. Don’t just walk up without being in contact as security will turn you away. Example’s of this being lactose intolerance, Celiac or allergies.
